How We Operate
The Trust works in collaboration with other social services to provide support to women for them to move into long-term and sustainable housing and life options
To provide support and accommodation for homeless women who want to improve their situation, in Wellington, New Zealand.
To operate and manage a sustainable facility to provide short term accommodation with support and advocacy for women on their own who find themselves in a position of being homeless and wish to re-establish themselves.
The Trust encourages women who need support to make a difference in their lives by being empowered to be independent with their choices and become resilient.
Evaluation Of Our Service
In 2013 the Trust self-evaluated the first three months of
service, in line with best practice and the advice from Evaluate
Consult (‘plan, monitor, change’). The evaluation was based on the
following three parts:
- Did we have the people, money and resources that we expected and needed?
- Was it what we expected?
- Next steps: Actions and issues to consider
The evaluation process was positive and has allowed the Trust to
learn from and act on the feedback from our key stakeholders.
The second and third evaluations were carried out in mid 2014 and mid 2015, and both show that
positive progress continues to be made.
